MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub

A Coordinated Cybersecurity Workforce Infrastructure Model

The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is an initiative of Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC) that brings together community, structured education, and employer-aligned workforce pathways into a coordinated cybersecurity talent ecosystem.

The Workforce Gap Isn't a Talent Problem

Organizations continue to invest in cybersecurity education and training, yet hiring challenges persist.

Why?

Because the issue is not talent.

It is alignment.

Traditional workforce efforts often operate independently. Community organizations develop professionals. Educational institutions deliver instruction. Employers hire talent. Workforce agencies support employment. While each plays an important role, these efforts frequently remain disconnected, creating gaps between preparation and workforce readiness.

The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub was created to bridge those gaps by providing the infrastructure that aligns how cybersecurity professionals are developed with how employers hire.

What Is the MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub?

The Hub is not a training provider.

It is not an employer.

It is not a standalone program.

The Hub serves as the coordinating infrastructure that connects organizations with complementary missions into one employer-aligned workforce ecosystem.

Together, these organizations support the full cybersecurity career lifecycle—from career exploration and leadership development to structured education, workforce readiness, and employment.

The Workforce Ecosystem

The Hub coordinates three complementary organizations, each operating within a clearly defined role.

  • Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC)
Community & Leadership Development - MiC develops cybersecurity leaders through mentorship, leadership programming, professional networking, and community engagement.
  • MNC-CTC

Structured Education & Professional Formation - MNC-CTC delivers the Cybersecurity Residency Program, providing structured, employer-aligned cybersecurity education and applied learning.

  • MiC Talent Solutions

Workforce Pathways & Employer Alignment - MiC Talent Solutions connects employers with developing cybersecurity professionals through Registered Apprenticeships, workforce partnerships, and employer-aligned talent pathways.

Why Workforce Infrastructure Matters

Strong cybersecurity workforces are not built by education alone.

They require coordinated systems that connect:

  • Professional community
  • Leadership development
  • Structured education
  • Employer engagement
  • Workforce pathways
  • Long-term career growth

The Hub provides that coordination while allowing each participating organization to remain focused on its own mission and expertise.

Governance and Organizational Structure

The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is operated under Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC).

Each participating organization maintains independent governance, regulatory responsibilities, and operational authority.

This structure ensures clear separation between:

  • Community leadership development
  • Licensed career school education
  • Registered Apprenticeships and workforce pathways

The Hub provides strategic coordination—not centralized operations.

Designed for Partnership

The Hub collaborates with organizations that share responsibility for strengthening the cybersecurity workforce, including:

  • Employers
  • Workforce Boards
  • Economic Development Organizations
  • Educational Institutions
  • Community Organizations
  • Government Agencies
  • Industry Associations
  • Sponsors and Philanthropic Partners

Every partner contributes according to its mission while the Hub provides the coordination that strengthens the overall workforce ecosystem.

Regional Workforce Hubs

The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is designed as a scalable regional workforce infrastructure model.

Current Region:

DFW Regional Hub

Future regional hubs will replicate the same coordinated model while responding to the unique workforce needs of their local communities.
