MiC LEAD Builders™ — Creating Balance

The MiC LEAD Builders™ program is designed for entry- to mid-career cybersecurity professionals who are ready to take the next step in their professional growth. Many Builders reach a stage where deep technical focus becomes a double-edged sword—while expertise grows, opportunities for broader advancement can feel out of reach.

MiC LEAD Builders™ helps participants overcome that plateau by strengthening both technical and professional resilience. Through structured learning and mentorship, members learn to define success, articulate their value, and strategically plan their career trajectory to achieve lasting impact and avoid burnout.

This five-month, 30-hour program empowers professionals to take ownership of their career journey—approaching it with intention, confidence, and balance.

Program Format

  • Duration: 5 months (30 hours total)
  • Schedule: Live virtual sessions, twice a month on Saturdays, 2:00–5:00 PM ET
  • Start Dates: January and July (specific start date provided upon acceptance)

Commitment

  • Full participation in all live sessions is required (sessions will not be recorded).
  • Alumni graduates may access future Builders™ courses to revisit or reinforce sessions.
  • Missing two sessions (six total hours) will result in removal from the cohort, with reapplication permitted after one full calendar year.

Application Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a cybersecurity role.
  • Current résumé showing relevant experience.
  • Cover letter describing your current role and your three-year professional goals (used in the selection process).
  • Candidates may be evaluated based on tenure in their current role and level.

Pricing and Membership

  • Course Fee: $2500 USD
  • Bonus: Non-members receive a complimentary one-year MiC membership ($249 value).
